I think the best idea would be to recognize when the attached  
documents come from a partner software, like .ggb or .cdy or whatever  
and then the necessary snippet code would be inserted by xwiki. It is  
not that hard to do with the CMS I know (spip) so I guess it should be  
doable in the template of a resource to add this extra (groovy? )  
code. So that the applet could be launched right there in the browser.
