[Users] Skillstextbox: how to erase in the metadata?

Hi,

The Educational Level of the resource I entered, during the initial  
editing, simply disappeared (maybe my fault).

So I go back to the Editor and choose an Educational level with Skills  
text box. Oops, I make a mistake... Damn, in the popup, I can not  
erase it, simply adds!

I go back to the Editor, I do edit again, ah, here in the popup there  
is a little red cross, so I delete the unwanted educational level, but  
how do I synchronise the background? I try closing the window, it  
doesn't save apparently. I try entering an empty level, I get an  
horrible

So I don't know how to erase a competency/level that I mistakenly  
entered.

Moreover the accents don't seem to be preserved in the fields of the  
metadata. They are converted back to unreadable garbage.
